- New Feature: Block sending when “Delivery Preference After opt in” toggle is disabled.
- Issue Summary: After a Person has opted in, any messages in queue will automatically be sent out to the Person, regardless of how long the opt in was pending. Messages sent to the Person while opt in has not been granted are Pending messages.
- Resolution: A new toggle is available to administrators can be found at Administration > Account > SMS/MMS Configuration. When the toggle is disabled, any messages attempted to be sent to the Person, so long as they are opted out, will be marked undeliverable and delivery never shall be attempted again.
- Impacts: The toggle is set to send all Pending messages to the Person after opt in by default. No action is required for TeamTexter to continue operating as it normally has in the past. If the customer would like to stop pending messages from being sent, the toggle can be turned off.
Texting Message Statuses (for reference):
- Pending Text – any message sent to a Person not yet opted in. Does not use texting credits.
- Failed Text – any message sent to a Person relayed to the third-party texting service that fails delivery (e.g., due to an incorrect mobile number or a number outside the supported region). Does use texting credits.
- Delivered Text – any message successfully sent to a Person. Does use texting credits.
