Product Name: TeamTexter® 3.0 Web Application
Release Number: v3.0 SP12.1
Date of Release: November 14, 2024
1. Bug: Main User Not Enough Credits Popup
- Issue Summary: When the main user's credits are depleted or reassigned to another user, the main user does not retain any remaining credits. This issue displays a popup message, preventing users from using the application.
- Resolution: The popup message has the ability to be dismissed and then continue on using the application, with the exception of messaging if there are not enough texting credits on the account balance.
- Impacts: Users can now freely navigate the user list page and perform necessary actions without issues, even after texting credits are depleted on the main user. Credits can be removed from a user by entering a negative amount in the Assign Credit function. Any credits removed from a user will go back to the main user.
2. Enhancement: Blocked Texting When Main User’s Account is Depleted
- Issue Summary: When the main user's credits are depleted or reassigned to another user, the main user does not retain any remaining credits. The application required the main user to maintain a texting credit balance in order for the application to be used.
- Resolution: The logic has been changed to look at the company’s account balance instead of the main user to ensure that there are enough texting credits for use.
- Impacts: The application will not be blocked from messaging if the main user’s account texting credit balance is depleted, so long as the company’s account balance is sufficient.
3. Enhancement: Auto-Assign Credits
- Issue Summary: When texting credits are assigned to users and therefore depleted, yet a text message comes into the application for that user, the system would show a negative texting credit balance for that user.
- Resolution: When a user has a negative texting credit balance, the application will automatically deduct texting credits from another user with a higher balance to ensure message delivery.
- Impacts: User texting credit balances should be reviewed and maintained regularly to ensure that texting credit balances are not depleted to avoid auto-assignment by the application.
4. Enhancement: Low Texting Credit Notifications
- Issue Summary: Users were under the impression that they had 50 credits remaining, but queued messages continued to deduct credits, resulting in unexpected blocks when attempting to send new messages. This led to confusion, as users were unaware that credits were being consumed by messages already in the queue.
- Resolution: To address this, we've introduced email alerts to notify users when their credits are low. Such that 3 emails will be sent when company reaches at 100,75 and 50 texting credits. Additionally, once a company account reaches 50 remaining credits, no new messages can be sent via the website until additional credits are added. This ensures greater transparency and prevents confusion, as only credits consumed by messages already in the queue will be deducted.
- Impacts: Users will now receive email notifications when their texting credits are running low. Additionally, a toaster alert will appear on the website if the total company texting credits reach 50, ensuring users are promptly informed of their credit status.
