Is there a way we can when clients move from 1.0 to 2.0 carry over the initial OptIn so that the person does not have to opt in again?

Unfortunately this one won't be possible due to texting regulations. It’s a new phone number and different service, so the person has to opt in to receiving texts from that phone number and registered service.
